Korean tobacco KT & G's second generation HNB products enter four Eurasian markets

According to foreign reports, Korean tobacco KT & G's heating non combustible product lil solid 2.0 and its Fiit heating tobacco stick continue its global expansion, launching new products in Central Asia and Southeast Europe.

As part of the international cooperation agreement between KT & G and Philip Morris, lil solid 2.0 has been introduced into four Eurasian countries in the second quarter of 2021.

It made its debut in Armenia on June 14; Commercialization in Serbia and Kyrgyzstan on June 3 and 7, respectively; Launched in Kazakhstan on May 13.

Lil solid 2.0 is the second generation model of KT & G heating non combustion products, with enhanced performance and design to improve consumer satisfaction.

The product was launched nationwide for the first time in January this year. According to KT & G, it has gained a huge appeal with its upgraded battery efficiency and induction heating technology.

Lil solid 2.0 devices are available in two colors on its new market, stone grey and cosmic blue. There are seven types of sticks, including Fiit regular, Fiit villa and Fiit crisp. According to the market situation, each country sells three or four kinds.

With the recent commercialization of lil solid 2.0 in four new markets, the lil brand is now emerging in seven markets outside Korea. Previously, the brand's varieties were introduced to Russia, Ukraine and Japan.

"As lil solid 1.0 and lil hybrid 2.0 are well received in their respective markets, we expect lil solid 2.0's performance to be encouraging," Wang SEOP Lim, head of KT & G's next generation product business, said in a statement. "In the second half of this year, we will continue to work with PMI to provide a wider range of choices for consumers outside Korea."
