It was reported on October 20 that Juul labs would withdraw from Germany by the end of this year, according to foreign reports quoting a spokesman for Hamburg.

The company says priorities need to be set for long-term success. In this way, it says, people can invest in research and development in core markets and future products.

German consumers will be able to buy Juul products until stock runs out.

After a wave of layoffs, Juul's German subsidiary has only about a dozen employees left, and they are now being laid off.

Juul left Austria this summer and plans to leave Switzerland soon.

The company, which had a huge success in the US before facing strong regulatory opposition, found it challenging to challenge the European market because of EU restrictions on nicotine.

The nicotine dose of Juul products sold in Europe is significantly lower than that in the US market, which makes it difficult to compete with European combustible cigarettes.

Recently, Juul was forced to suspend shipment in Germany due to the lack of a mandatory recycling mark on its packaging.
